The Access Panel was formed in 2006 and the committee meets every second month at the Ardeer Youth & Community Centre, Stevenston.
Not all of its members are disabled, but those that are have a range of disabilities, bringing a widespread knowledge base to the panel, which is run on a voluntary basis.
A variety of issues are discussed including planning or building warrant applications, general access, transport as well as other subjects.
A a senior member of the Roads Department attends our meetings and we have built up good relationships with them.
